The Ocean Beach People’s Organic Food Market project consisted of an extension to the original co-op built in 1973. The 2-story whole foods store was built to minimize energy consumption. The sustainable structure includes energy efficient technologies such as photovoltaic panels, passive heating/cooling system, and daylighting with timer operated fluorescent lights enabled it to be a fully sustainable building. The community owned co-op is committed to the health and well-being of its patrons by providing quality, natural products and services that promote ecologically sound lifestyles.

The Desert Ridge Marketplace is a 1.2 million sf retail market establishment that sets a new trend of shopping experiences showcasing an exciting suburban lifestyle of entertainment. The open-air marketplace creates an inviting and relaxed atmosphere which includes outdoor fireplaces, unique water features, interactive shopping, dining and entertainment in a vibrant, high-energy outdoor setting. The “first-of-its-kind” shopping adventure encompasses 6 unique shopping districts each with a theme that caters to every shoppers dream.
