McParlane has developed internal skills and managerial processes to support the mechanical contractor in all phases of construction. Each McParlane project manager’s responsibilities include working hand in glove with the contractor's project manager to gain a thorough understanding of the goals and challenges unique to each project. The firm has focused on design build work, and has developed milestone measurement and verification to support the contractor in designing and managing successful projects.

- McParlane does not commit to schedule changes or design changes that influence construction cost and eliminates unnecessary items that would commit mechanical contractors to unanticipated construction requirements.
- McParlane develops efficient delivery of construction documents for permitting and construction in the design-build medium and works close with the mechanical contractor throughout the design process to ensure that the design is constructible
In 2000, McParlane launched MBO Cx. MBO Cx employ's mechanical, electrical and professional engineers, NEBB certified supervisors, DOE pump and fan power energy efficiency certified engineers and LEED AP's. MBO is an outgrowth of the mechanical contractor support service culture of McParlane & Associates. MBO's field technicians ensure system performance optimization.
